Emma & Luke

Farmhouse & Tipi Wedding Photography

A whole two years had to pass before I got the opportunity to point my lenses at a Tipi wedding again (2015 with Phoebe & Chris). Theres a certain kind of magic that happens at a tipi wedding. There’s a greater character and charm to them than a regular marquee; warm colours, fairy and festoon lights, rugs on the floor, fire pits and glittery disco mirror balls adorn them in abundance. I love ’em, and boy oh boy was I ready for another. Here’s Emma (wearing a stunning number from Essence of Australia) & Luke who both just happen to be utterly gorgeous as well!

“They are amazing!! Thank you so much!”

Having had a cracking day with Emma as a bridesmaid last year at her pal’s Samantha & Alex’s wedding, I already knew this wasn’t going to be a quiet one. Lets just say that Tina Turner’s Proud Mary got sung more than a couple of times and the bar was busy! Luke was brought up just yards from where they had the tipi set up at an old derelict farmhouse. A venue that featured some curious decaying army transport; just right for a little #compositeweddingphoto fun (check out the hashtag in my instagram page for more). Having already done the officials on the quiet, Emma & Luke had a celebrant to make it all come alive, and 160 fine friends and family watched as they declared their love for one another. Following this in true english tradition, confetti was hurled, hugs were had, and Pimms sipped. Dancing didn’t wait until the evening, these guys were just too eager; the party had started!
