As a first time go at being a Wasing Park Wedding Photographer I couldn’t have been more lucky, with both fantastic weather and perhaps the most gorgeous bride and groom! Rekha and Eric had hired the venue from the Friday before to allow for them to bring together guests before their celebrations on the Saturday. This exclusive wedding venue has ample accommodation set within some exquisite grounds. The perfectly manicured gardens and landscaping really are a source of creative heaven for a wedding photographer. For my wedding couples portraits I made great use of the expansive grounds and made some stunning romantic portrait pictures. At night time the brick entrance arch was illuminated perfectly against the evening sky, giving me one of my most favourite romantic photographs that I have subsequently used on my home page slideshow.
For those interested in a little history lesson Wasing Park was purchased in 1759 by John Mount who made his wealth by publishing maps. The connection of this business and its global connections, perhaps make it even more fitting that it should be the perfect venue for Rekha and Eric. They themselves have relatives spanning the globe as well as the UK and for that part some interesting Danish cultural celebrations were enjoyed during the day.
For the most part their day was very typical, their legal ceremony was held in the gardens to the rear and afterwards they enjoyed confetti by exiting through the main halls large doorway. Guests were encouraged to congregate under the canopy to the rear of the hall and enjoy canapés cocktails and champagne. The park setting also lends itself to candid shots, perfect for capturing the genuine emotions of the day. These authentic moments often result in some of the most cherished memories. The evening entertainment was second to none with Soho: City Collective belting out the hits.
Whether you’re planning an outdoor ceremony or just looking for a serene location for your wedding portraits, Wasing Park offer endless opportunities for creating stunning, memorable photos. With me as your photographer, your wedding day can be immortalized in a way that reflects both your love, the closest people in your lives and the beauty of nature around you.
In short, Wasing Park provides a stunning setting for wedding photography, with its blend of nature, history, and elegance. It’s a place where love stories come to life in breathtaking photographs.
