Hayley started her wedding day with bridal preparation at Dannah Farm, a local venue that specialises in Luxury BnB. It is just a few minutes drive from Shottle Hall, a venue in Derbyshire that offers a charming combination of rustic elegance and luxurious comfort. It’s a place where timeless romance meets modern style, making it a perfect backdrop for any wedding – and this particular celebration with Hayley and Jamie was no exception.
Whilst this wedding celebration was in many ways like so many, with a civil wedding ceremony, speeches and first dance there was a delightful amount of colour in the theme and decorations. As a photographer it’s a genuine pleasure to lift the creative pallet when a wedding couple bring such individual touches. As it was a dry and pleasant day for a mid summer wedding, they used the outdoor space for their wedding vows and sign their marital declarations. I did the best I could with my cameras to capture with fun with Giant Jenga and the love between guests as well as some portraits shots with my couple. After the traditional speeches from Father of Bride, the Groom and the Best Man Hayley and Jamie did their first dance and once the dancing started it didn’t stop! The mariachi band walked in and everything jumped up a notch. What made a great evening even better was when it was suggested that they take the music outside. Photographing people dancing to the sounds of a Mexican mariachi band in Derbyshire against a summer evening sky was a pure delight!
