Norton Fields Barn is nestled in the picturesque countryside of Norton-Juxta-Twycross, Leicestershire. It is a sought-after wedding venue that seamlessly blends rustic charm with a contemporary edge. Its a unique setting that offers couples and photographers a versatile canvas for their wedding, that makes it a favourite for creative and dynamic images.
Gemma and Richard had a church wedding ceremony and moved on to Norton Fields shortly after. Whilst on the way into the venue they pulled over for a cheeky few minutes to themselves so that they could enjoy a cigarette. A golden opportunity for me to make some really fun pictures without giving them any pressure to perform. The venue’s expansive grounds provide an abundance of natural light and diverse backdrops including serene cornfields surrounding the property, every corner offers a unique perspective!
After arrival drinks and canapes we grabbed the best of the daylight to make some family group photographs and pictures with bridesmaids and ushers etc. Following on from this I took the newlywed couple on a short walk to the rear of the venue where we made some really fun portraits in the last of the late afternoon sun.
Back inside it was time for the wedding breakfast meal and after dinner speeches. A number of sweet photographic moments with children presented themselves in the lead up to the speeches that included the couples daughter. Cant beat a precious candid image capture with kids! The father of the bride, the groom and best mans wedding speeches were all fantastic. This always makes for great images as you get proper heartfelt reactions from guests and family members.
Gemma and Richards post wedding evening party was one to be remembered. Kicking things ff Gemma threw the flower bouquet into the assembled willing single ladies an then the party swung into action. Shots at the bar, dance floor moves and heaps of laughter. What weddings are all about!
