I’m incredibly lucky in my job that I’m rarely at the same place. That keeps me creatively charged, and thats good for clients. Every year I get my fair share of personalised weddings set in marquees or tipis and then I get a number of grand country venues. Some couples book me for rustic barns and then some like Lauren and Ben here book me to photograph venues with industrial heritage and charm. Set in what has now become a creative and buzzing part of Sheffield close to the River Don and just a short walk away from another great venue I’ve worked at – Yellow Arch Studios. Much Like Yellow Arch The Mowbray is nestled into the industrial backdrop of the home of Stainless steel. As a photographer there’s plenty to include for great backgrounds even if it absolutely slings it down!
Lauren & Ben chose to have their ceremony at Sheffield Town Hall and whilst the morning stayed dry that changed very much wetter right after they wrapped up the confetti. They were dead set on getting a few pictures with “The Snog” as well as a stop at a river crossing near to the venue. I kid you not when I tell you it was a gear test, by the time I reached The Mowbray my camera bags were almost wring out wet. The rest of the day was a breeze. And if you like these, and you want to book me for a revisit to The Mowbray, I’ll say yes please…
